AI Video, Explained
Can People Tell a Haircut Video Is AI?
On a phone screen, at a normal scrolling speed, most AI haircut videos read as real. Slowed down and enlarged, small artifacts become visible.
Where artifacts show up
Hands and fine hair strands are the hardest things for video models to keep stable. Freeze-framing often reveals fingers that blur or hair that changes length between frames.
Why it still fools people
Viewers are not analyzing frame by frame. They see a fast reveal, react, and move on. The clip only has to hold up for a few seconds at thumb speed.
The honest approach
Treat these as obviously-fun edits, not documentary footage. If someone asks whether it is real, the answer is that it is an AI filter.
